Barbarella legend Jane Fonda has told the world that she feels better than ever despite being in her mid-seventies.
The actress – who is well known for her role in the sixties fantasy film, as well as her fitness workouts – appeared on The Today Show wearing a tight lycra bodysuit which showcased her impressive figure.
The Jane Fonda workout video, which she first created 29 years ago in 1982, was recreated in the studio alongside show hosts Hoda Kotb and Kathy Lee Gifford.
As well as releasing a fitness video for older viewers last year, Fonda has also just authored a new book, entitled ‘Prime Time: Love, Health, Sex, Fitness, Friendship, Spirit — Making the Most of all of Your Life.’
She told The Today Show with Matt Lauer that she was “happier now than I was before,” and that had “not been what she was expecting at 73.”
Fonda also praised the part exercise has played in keeping her looking young. “It’s important to exercise when you’re younger. But it’s like the number one ingredient for successful aging. It makes a difference for all aspects of your life and your body,” she said.
Two new films starring Fonda - ‘Peace, Love & Misunderstand,’ and the French comedy ‘Et si on vivait tous ensemble’ (And If We All Lived Together) - will hit the silver screen next year.
